His place of birth was Reeves Chapel, which is on Farm Road 1519 four miles southwest of Pittsburg Texas in southwestern Camp County.

This was the ship that Harris rode back home from France in 1919. Matter in fact, this picture was taken on May 13, 1919 at the Boston Navy yard. Fourteen days later Harris boarded her in France, 4 days before his 27th birthday, to come back home.
