John Henry Bullard

Death: 26 AUG 1907  TX

 John Henry was the son of Josiah Hood BULLARD and Ann B. MOSLEY. He was born 26 August 1846 in Montgomery Co. AL.  He enlisted in Confederate Army at age 16 and served with Terry's Texas Rangers.

John Henry Bullard was a farmer and merchant---Methodist---moved from AL to Smith County, TX with his guardian Lovick Pierce Butler in 1861.

He died 26 August 1907 in Hiram, Kaufman County, TX to which he had recently moved from Bullard, TX-a town of which he was the founder in 1883. Bullard was named Etna, TX prior to that.

1. Thomas Henry, born 16 October 1869, Tyler TX; died 1948; Married Iona JAY. He was a machinist by trade and was a Methodist/Baptist.

2. John Lovic, born 31 July 1871, Etna, Smith County, TX; died 18 October 1927, Bullard, TX; married 30 August 1890, Lenora URBAN. He was a merchant by trade and a Methodist

3. Etta Willie, born 22 March 1873, Etna, TX, died 18 October 1927 Bullard, TX; married 16 December 1890 Samuel Galiatin LANGLEY. Her husband was a farmer by trade and they were Methodist.

4. Annie Laura, born 16 January 1875, Etna, TX; died 31 January 1959, Dallas TX; married 10 April 1892 Oscar CALDWELL. He was a merchant by trade and they were Methodist.

5. Carrie, b. 1021/1976 Etna, TX d. 7/31/1877 Etna, TX Buried Oakwood Cemetery, Tyler Texas.

6. Josiah Hood, born 22 May 1878, Etna, TX; died 25 August 1901; Bullard, TX; married 18 February 1900, Bullard, TX, Juliette WALKER

7. Leila Agnes, born 11 August 1882, Etna, TX; died 12 April 1883, Etna/Bullard, TX

8. Nellie May, born 14 December 1979, Etna, TX; died 2 June 1881 Etna, TX

Emma died 25 April 1884 in Bullard, Smith County, TX. She is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery Tyler, TX.
